How is it even 2018 already? I was scrolling through my published posts and saw my blogiversary is in March – that’s only 2ish months away?? It seems like I just celebrated one year of blogging yesterday.
Time is crazy.
I have quite a few goals for this year, despite not being a “resolutions” kinda gal. I realized I never posted goals – or if I did I would never post how they went! So this year, here are a few goals that I’d like to accomplish in 2018:
I FEEL SO BAD FOR SUBMITTING MY ALPHAS TO THIS AWFUL DRAFT. Okay, there. I needed to get that off my chest. sorry sorry sorry
As I neared the end of R+B last month, I realized just how much needs to be changed and how much I need to improve these characters. But my alphas are amazing and have trudged through my gross, gross draft.
I think I could probably finish R+B this year though. The first draft is pretty much done, give or take a couple of chapters. I have my plans for the next draft organized in bullet points. It’s going to happen.
I got so preoccupied with classes this past semester that I failed to attend meetings to clubs I was interested in. Why go outside my room when I can spend my free time rearranging and watching new TV shows??
But seriously, I have a few clubs I would like to join. So one goal is definitely keep up with those and GET INVOLVED.
I’ve been looking at SoulScript’s college devotional so far. Any recommendations?
Yes to road trips. Yes to traveling in general. After changing plans last-minute, I have canceled about five completely planned trips. Apparently there was no snow in the city I was planning to visit in Colorado?
Well, 2018 is the year for trips.
By the end of the year, I fell very behind in my reading challenge, writing, favorite blogs, and blogging. During the school semester, I actually get fairly organized with a planner and alarms for everything.
For example, I have missed the last TWO newsletters and haven’t sent out all of R+B to my alphas yet. Whoops.
Here’s to catching up and staying scheduled throughout the spring + fall semesters AND summer.
Assuming I stay caught up, I would really like to start something. I have plans for a few surprises, so I hope I can tackle them this year! A couple of ideas would affect the blog, but the rest would probably need their own website. So we’ll see how they go!
Either another summer camp or writing and working at my old job or something completely different, I don’t know about you, but I hate just sitting at home doing nothing.
(Our barn doors outside our house in the pictures above are now one of my new favorite backdrops)
I’ve noticed that most of the blogs I love to follow share a bunch of pictures. Even if the pictures have nothing to do with the post, I just love scrolling through.
So my last goal for the new year is to take more pictures – and better ones. Which hopefully shouldn’t be too hard since I got a camera for christmas! BEST. GIFT. EVER.
